US Airways | Choice Seats
US Airways will charge extra for window or aisle seats beginning May 7. Their announcement is a great lesson in how to couch your bad news:
- Starting May 7, 2008, Choice Seat assignments on the aisle or window in the first several rows of the Coach cabin will be available for as little as $5 per flight.
In other words, they’re charging extra for some seats that used to be just seats in the plane. It used to be you bought a ticket and got a seat. Now some seats are more equal than others.
