U.S. Transportation Secretary Peters Announces New Measures to Improve
Air Travel Experience
Despite the headline, the new measures are not going to improve your “air travel experience.” Involuntarily bummed - er, bumped - passengers will get up to $400 if they are rescheduled to get to their destination within two hours of the original time (or within four hours for international flights), and up to $800 if their arrival is later than two hours.
The coverage of the rule is extended to more flights than the present rule of $200/$400.
