HealthMap | Global disease alert map
This is another Google map mashup. You can pick a medical resource (ProMed, WHO, and others), a disease, the country, and timeliness, and this site gives you a map with pointers. Click on pointers of interest, and you get a brief squib of info and a link to the entire story.
