The Civilized Explorer aggregation

We were at lunch when the earthquake hit. We were in the lovely Hotel Imperatrice, when it started shaking. It lasted several seconds - enough to know it’s an earthquake but not enough to be scary. The page linked to says in one place the quake was magnitude 4.6 and in another place 4.4.

We were on Les Saintes years ago when there was a series of aftershocks following an earthquake that did  damage to several buildings on the island, some of which had to be demolished. The Caribbean is seismically active, as the several islands with volcanoes should remind us.
