Okay, it’s a paid survey (sponsored by Dell), but the survey says 10,000 laptops go missing each week at larger US airports. Some are just lost and are recovered, but 65% never turn up again.
Some suggestions on avoiding theft: Use a stencil and spraypaint “Property of [your name here]” in dayglo green on both sides of the computer; there is also a suggestion on how to put your luggage on the conveyor so you get there in time to claim it before the thieves do.
So here’s my question: is the laptop you’re traveling with yours? Or your company’s (with company/client data on it)?
